We offer a 12-month MWM Foundation Program™ which focuses on intensive, individualized treatment. From there, you can choose MWM Ongoing Support™ for as long or as little as you need. At MWM, you decide how much support is right for you!
We do not restrict the possible medications in any way. You will be assessed by a licensed Medical Doctor, who can prescribe any medication available in Canada that is appropriate to your treatment. Unlike many companies that focus on specific medications, we do not make money off of your prescriptions. Our doctors prescribe the best medication for you, and allow you to fulfil your prescription from any pharmacy of your choosing.
No, you can expect to lose weight through the behavioural change support in the MWM Foundation Program™. Our Medical Doctors will provide you advice if they feel medications are appropriate, but will always support your personal decision on what is best for your journey.
While weight loss is one of the goals of this program - wellness and vitality are even more important. Everyone is different. Our Physicians and Dietitians will develop an individual program based on your health and lifestyle goals so you can discover YOUR BEST WEIGHT and live your best life.
As long as you'd like to. The journey to reaching your best weight is different for everyone - that's why we offer on-going support. If you have completed the MWM Foundation Program™, you can continue to receive monthly touch points with our care team. You can chose to opt out at any time or continue your journey month-to-month. At MWM you decide how much support is right for you!
Many health plans offer coverage for medically supervised weight management programs. We help patients navigate coverage options for dietitian services, program costs, and medication costs through your private insurance provider. Please contact us if you need assistance.
No, you don't need a referral to enroll. However, having a primary care provider is a requirement to join MWM. We work with your doctor to ensure you are getting all the support you need.
